To answer this question we would like to quote a few of our competition dancer’s parents. We feel being able to hear from them directly provides a better level of insight:
"I have seen my daughter grow so much since she began dancing with The Works Company. She has developed self-discipline, determination, self-confidence and has experienced being part of a team sport. My daughter does very well in school and I think the discipline of dance has helped her to be self-motivated and organized. Dance has helped her develop an impeccable memory, strong math skills and her creativity. She has a strong sense of self-confidence and is not afraid to stand up and lead, give speeches or try new things.
One of the most important things she has learned from competition dance is being part of a team. She has learned each person is responsible for their own job and that the job she does affects the team as a whole. She has learned that success comes from being part of the team and doing your best at all times. Competition dance has become part of her and who she will become in life.
Competition dance is a rewarding family experience when you see how much your child changes in a positive manner. The overall growth, maturity and ability that changes from year to year is astonishing. We love to see the excitement of competition and the since of accomplishment on her face at the end of the day."

"Confidence! We have seen a dramatic difference in both our daughters’ confidence and self-esteem since joining The Works Company.
We love the fact that FWPAC has embraced our daughters as valuable members of a team. They are respected for the unique individuals that they are. The girls dream of one day being able to dance like the "big girls". The older dancers are such great role models for the little ones and they go out of their way to make our girls feel special. We couldn't be happier with The Works Company teams.
Being part of The Works Company has been a great bonding experience. Competition season is something we all look forward to and can enjoy as a family. Nothing can describe how proud you feel as a parent to watch your child shine on stage!"

"Competition team has strengthen our daughter’s technique and made her a great dancer. My daughter has grown so much as a dancer since joining the Mini team in 2009.
What I value the most about my daughter being a part of The Works Company competitive team is the teachers and the older girls on the other competitive teams. She looks up to the girls on the Elite, Senior, Teen, Junior and even the Petite teams. They are all great role models for my daughter and she has so much fun with them all.
Making our move from another studio to Foot Works Performing Arts Center was the best decision we have ever made! Foot Works is much more organized and more family orientated than our previous studio. The staff at FWPAC is so amazing, talented and they all genuinely care for all of our dancers!!!"

"I highly recommend The Works Company for anyone that is highly motivated and wants a close-knit bond with other dance team members. The closeness that the dancers and families feel is wonderful! They are all like another family!!!
Being a part of the competition dance teams is a very exciting and rewarding experience for all involved! My dancer is always excited to perform in front of large audiences and is very prepared. Foot Works Performing Arts Center is a well known dance company and strives in continuing to instill the very best qualities, teach the greatest level of dance and win competitions."
